Toni Wells, an Affiliate Partner of Coston Consulting, will present on "Moving the Needle: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Legal Industry" at the 2022 38th Annual International Practice Management Association (IPMA) Conference & Expo in Montreal, Canada.

Session: Moving the Needle: DEI in the Legal Industry - October 20, 2022

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is considered a core value across many organizations within the legal industry and yet those same organizations still struggle in setting and achieving DEI goals. While it is critical that DEI is driven by leadership, everyone across an organization has an opportunity to move the needle. All professionals must understand how to promote diversity and inclusion, so workplaces are a space where all employees – regardless of the differences in their backgrounds – are respected, valued and have the opportunity to thrive. We will discuss where we are with DEI in the legal industry and how DEI and the roles of legal management professionals intersect.

The IPMA is the primary source of information and education for managers in law firms, corporations, and law departments. The three-day conference includes educational programming, peer networking, and one-on-one discussions with industry business partners.
